MODEL U.N. is a seminar study program exposing the student to international issues by participation in the annual Model U.N. conference at Berkeley and other mini-conferences and workshops. This is a 5 unit semester course. Mr. Bart Dykzeul

 

MULTI-CULTURAL CLUb recognizes and celebrates the various ethnic cultures at St. Mary’s and also participates in community service activities. Mrs. Isabel Aquino

 

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY membership is an honor conferred upon students in recognition of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The minimum academic grade point average is 3.00. Mrs. Jenni Giannini

 

OPEN ARTISTIC FORUM offers an environment for students to appreciate all forms of art, including poetry, prose, fine arts, and music. Students meet regularly throughout the year in order to share their own work, as well as introduce works from artists they might admire. The culminating project each year is to publish Inscape, the school's literary magazine that showcases the creative talents of all students at St. Mary's. Mr. Jeff Ransford

 

PINK LADIES members of the Pink Ladies bring awareness to breast cancer. This club is open to all St. Mary's students, both boys and girls. Meetings will discuss fundraising for breast cancer awareness throughout the year. Mrs. Jenni Giannini

 

PSYCHOLOGY AfTER HOURS provides students with psychology speakers, activities, plus on and off-campus opportunities to learn the meaning and scope of psychology in the community. Meetings will be primarily in the evenings, three per semester. In addition, one off-campus visit per year will be organized. Membership is open to all students. Mr. Jon Gustorf

 

RAM COMPUTER CLUB is a technology-based club oriented towards expanding and utilizing knowledge about computer science. Over the last couple of years, we have established a solid groundwork in robotics, HTML, and Flash as well as several other projects. The club is open to all students. Mrs. Ann Marie Pierce

 

RAMPAGE CLUB promotes positive school spirit for our athletic teams. Members create posters for all home games throughout the year. Rampage club members sit together at football and basketball games wearing green and white and assisting the cheerleaders in getting the crowd spirited. Mrs. Jean Aguilar

 

RESPECT LIFE CLUB is a club designed to educate and witness to the dignity of human life in all its stages of development and conditions. Members will:

a) cultivate prayer as the foundational activity to further their own spiritual development and convert the hearts of those fostering the "culture of death;"

b) engage in activities to educate and be educated on the range of life issues;

c) give witness to the value and dignity of human life through various public demonstrations of support of human life; and, d) serve the cause of life by engaging in works of mercy and other forms of assistance. Mr. Richard Mansfield

 

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD CLUB students participate in science enrichment outside of the classroom. Anticipated activities will include field trips, Science Olympiad, National Science Bowl and submitting projects in science contests. Mr. Mirko Kozina

 

SENATE membership is comprised of Senior boys who have been nominated by teachers. Their role as ambassadors to the school is to promote school spirit as well as exemplify leadership qualities. Mr. Greg Traverso

 

SPOT (Students Putting Out Talent) the Art Club, promotes art on campus, provides artistic services to the community, and teaches various art techniques through art projects. Mrs. Jean Aguilar

 

ST. FRANCIS DE SALES CLUB is committed to the proclamation of the Catholic faith and the formation of its members in the spiritual tradition of St. Francis de Sales. The De Sales club fosters the spiritual growth of its members through liturgical and communal prayer, study, fellowship, and various forms of evangelization. The fundamental purpose of the De Sales club is to assist all those at St. Mary's High School to "Live Jesus!" Mr. Harrison Brehm

 

STUDENT COUNCIL is the student government organization whose purpose is to plan social activities, arrange and conduct student body meetings, and administer to the needs of student government. Student Council members are expected to promote spirit and be leaders and role models. Mr. Luigi Gherardi

 

STUDENT MENTOR PROGRAM provides academic assistance to other students needing help. This is done in study hall on a volunteer basis utilizing individual tutoring. Mrs. Carolee Jones

 

STUDENTS AGAINST DESTRUCTIVE DECISIONS addresses the problems of drug abuse, drinking and driving and other destructive decisions. Students involved in S.A.D.D. work by combining a strong desire and motivation to stop the abuse of drugs, drinking and driving, and other destructive decisions. Mrs. Annette Knowles

 

ULTIMATE FRISBEE COALITION offers a unique combination of physical activity and social interaction. It presents the perfect opportunity for students to step away from the stress of studies and have fun. The Ultimate Frisbee Coalition strives to bring enjoyment and exercise into people's lives, one toss at a time. Mr. Jim Stoker
