Lacrosse: St. Mary’s 7, Lincoln 6
Playing at St. Mary’s, Colby Potts scored the winning goal
with about a minute remaining in the second overtime
of their season finale as the Rams downed the
Trojans 7-6. Andrew Brey led St. Mary’s with three
goals.
Lacrosse: St. Mary’s 13,
Lincoln 5
Playing at Lincoln, 12 seconds after the game
started, the Rams scored their first goal against
the Trojans in league play, going on to beat Lincoln
13-5 in the Sacramento Valley League victory.
Although St. Mary’s played well throughout they
dominated the fourth quarter with five goals before
a crowd of 300 fans. Patrick Mulrooney and Andrew
Brey each score four goals and combine for seven
assists in the win.

The Rams outscored Bella Vista in the last two
quarters, but it was not enough to make up a deficit
from the first half as they fell to their opponents
12-9. The Rams are 4-10.
Lacrossse: Granite Bay 17,
St. Mary’s 7
Playing at home, the Rams fell to the Grizzlies 17-7
in league action. The Rams are 4-9.

Bradley Espinoza is committing to
Alderson-Broaddus College.

The Rams scored three times in the fourth period,
but it was not enough to even the score as they lost
to Trojans 16-6 in conference play..

In a conference match-up the Rams fell to the
Marauders 11-5.
Two Lacrosse Players Make
College Commitments
Xavier Guerrero and Bradley Espinoza announced
commitments to play on NCAA college teams.
Xavier Guerrero has committed to to St. Andrew’s
University in Laurinburg, N.C. St. Andrew's Knights
are a longtime NCAA Division II team in Conference
Carolinas, and recently moved to the National
Association of Intercollegiate Athletics
Bradley Espinoza plans to make his final commitment
to West Virginia University in Morgantown, West
Virginia in April. The Mountaineers, have been part
of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, with
plans to move to NCAA Division II.
Lacrosse: Dougherty Valley 13, St. Mary’s 12
Playing at UOP’s Gardemeyer Field, the Rams were
defeated by a last period goal as Dougherty Valley
beat St. Mary’s 13-12 in a non-league contest. The
Rams are1-6.

The Rams came out strong and maintained a lead
throughout the match, fending off a strong challenge
from the Braves in the final period to win 13-8 in a
non-league contest. The Rams are 1-5 pre-season.

Mary’s 8
Despite a late 5 score effort in the 4th
period, St. Mary’s fell to Livermore 12-8 in
non-league play.
Lacrosse: California 9, St.
Mary's 0
In a non-conference match, the Rams were beaten by
the Golden Bears 9-0.
Lacrosse: Los Altos 9, St. Mary’s 8
At Los Altos, Blake Feist had two goals and an assist, and
Joe DeJesus had two goals for the Rams (0-1), who
almost scored in the final seconds to tie the game.
Patrick Mulroonesy, Alex Glick and Andrew Brey each
contributed one goal in the losing effort. St.
Mary’s won 11 of 21 faceoffs, and had 17 attempts.
Jim Barlupo had 8 saves on 17 attempts.

In pre-league match the Rams fell to Granada 11-4 at
Sanguinetti Field in the Thompson Sports Complex.

In
a non-league match, the Rams fell to the Trojans 6-4
at St. Mary's. Jimmy Barlupo had six saves for the
Rams, while Blake Feist and Andrew Brey had 2 goals
apiece in the contest as St. Mary's had 14 shots on
goal. The Rams are 0-1.
