Coach Ken Green who brought the Rams back to state competition this year, winning the Sac-Joaquin section was named Coach of the Year by the Record.

Though the season began in such a way that no one thought the Rams would make the state playoffs, Coach Green made some position moves, and worked his team to bring out their best, ultimately resulting in the section championship.

In the Record, Coach Green was quoted: “You hope you can rely on experience, and this team had a lot of it. We seemed to gain a sense of focus as the playoffs rolled around. With our team, we had so many different transitions. … Maybe we were just taking a while to gel and develop some chemistry.”
