Mr.
Tipton is also the defensive line coach for the St. Mary's
varsity football team. His background includes being a
Stanford
defensive assistant 1989-2007. Coach Tipton graduated from
Stanford in 1971 before playing six NFL seasons with the Giants,
San Diego and Seattle. He coached high school football for six
seasons in San Diego area and served as a Stanford Cardinal
assistant under Dennis Green, Bill Walsh, Tyrone Willingham,
Buddy Teevens and Walt
Harris.
