St. Mary's High School Golf Classic
is held annually. The next Golf Classic will be
on September 20, 2010 at the Stockton Golf and Country Club
St. Mary's would like
to recognize and thank all of the golfers, donors, underwriters,
sponsors and volunteers that allow this event to be a
success and allows St. Mary's to meet its educational goals of producing
the best possible students with skills that will allow them to excel in
life.
It’s because of their commitment and generous donations that we were
able to raise over $51,000 for Student Academic Scholarships!
The President's Club was established in 2001 as a
way to enhance our rich heritage by providing funds to assist
with meeting the needs of the school. Membership is open to all
who believe in the goals of St. Mary's High School and
contribute $1,000 or more annually to the President's Club.
With funds from the past five years' memberships, laptop
computers were purchased for faculty members in the Math,
Science, English, Language, Social Studies and Art Departments.
The use of these computers has enhanced the efforts of the
faculty to bring the latest technology into the classroom. In
addition, funding provided by the club allowed St. Mary's to
purchase laptops for teachers, to
launch in the 2008-2009 school year a program to assist students
in need of better reading and comprehension skills and in the 2008-2007 school year, a web-based resource for
parents, students and teachers to provide timely updates on
grades, progress and allow for more effective communication.
