The Impact of Your Generosity:
Investing in Education
Upon the successful completion of St. Mary’s High School’s
Phase-I, it is time to move forward on the continued
transformation of the campus into a 21st Century educational
institution. In Phase-II, the next priorities include building a
new Science Center, a new Sports Center, renovation of the
School’s Chapel and selected classrooms, creating a green space
area in the center of campus, and creating additional parking.
This $15.7 million project will create a premier science and a
sports and fitness center for future generations of St. Mary’s
High School, and rejuvenate the school’s beloved chapel.
St. Mary's Chapel where students,
faculty and friends of the school attend daily Mass;
a place of quite repose for prayer and a place that
provides a peaceful and welcoming location for the
Sacrament of Reconciliation will be renovated as
part of the Generations of Educational Excellence
Project. An integral part of this undertaking is the
installation of a stained glass panel behind the
altar so that the sacredness of the Chapel is
enhanced.
Donations are being sought for this project. If
you would like to assist in bringing
a new dimension to the spiritual life of the school,
please contact the St. Mary's Development Office at
209 957-3340 Extension 180.

rehabilitation or maintenance of existing buildings, in the
imaginative design of new
structures, or for other singular and significant
contributions to urban beautification.
The
generosity of our alumni, faculty, friends, and
the many benefactors of St. Mary's has been selfless,
and inspiring. The project has progressed with the
completion of the primary phases.
View of Lagorio Administration & Technology Building
The first part of our
project, the Lagorio
Family Library/Technology and Administration
Center was dedicated February, 2007. The Cortopassi
Aquatics Center dedicated on October 7, 2007,
has allowed the refurbishing of the football
field, and the start of the sports/fitness
center project.
Prior to the current phases, due
to the generosity of the Sprague and
Thompson families, as well as countless other
good-hearted individuals, the Sprague Family Field House, Carruesco Baseball Field and the Thompson Sports Complex
were completed. We are grateful for your support
and ask that you continue to help so that we may
soon see the Saint Mary's High School of the
future, dedicated to the finest principles and
traditions of Catholic education. For More

The President's Club was established in 2001 as a
way to enhance our rich heritage by providing funds to assist
with meeting the needs of the school. Membership is open to all
who believe in the goals of St. Mary's High School and
contribute $1,000 or more annually to the President's Club.
With funds from the past five years' memberships, laptop
computers were purchased for faculty members in the Math,
Science, English, Language, Social Studies and Art Departments.
The use of these computers has enhanced the efforts of the
faculty to bring the latest technology into the classroom. In
addition, funding provided by the club allowed St. Mary's to
purchase laptops for teachers, to
launch in the 2008-2009 school year a program to assist students
in need of better reading and comprehension skills and in the 2008-2007 school year, a web-based resource for
parents, students and teachers to provide timely updates on
grades, progress and allow for more effective communication.

The Annual Appeal is a critical component of our
operating, since the contributions offset the difference between tuition
charged per student and the actual cost of educating a St. Mary's student.
SchoolPop
Purchases
Schoolpop’s name-brand online merchants contribute
up to 20% of every purchase you make to
Saint Mary's High School. Use the link to begin
supporting the school.
Planned giving is a gift given in any amount and for
any purpose in which the donor makes the gift in light of personal, estate
or financial planning considerations.
You can honor or memorialize a special person or event
by providing scholarships or awards to St. Mary students. Mass is celebrated
in our chapel each month on the first Friday of the month for living
benefactors and the third Wednesday for deceased benefactors.
If you are employed by a
company which has a Matching Gift Program, you can double or triple your
gift to St. Mary's High School. Contact your employer and request a matching
gift form. Complete the form and send it along with your gift to the
attention of the Development Office at St. Mary's High School. The
Development Office will process the form. This is a wonderful way to
increase your gift to the school.
Many
corporations provide resources to supplement the support
provided by their employees for charitable institutions.
This is a simple way for donors to increase the value of
their gift.
An annual report is issued once a year, during the
month of March. The report is intended to inform all of our alumni and the
greater community of St. Mary's about the current state of the school. All
donors are listed in this publication.
