NOTE: TO RECEIVE PRIORITY IN CLASS PLACEMENTS, PLEASE HAVE ALL ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST ITEMS COMPLETED BY APRIL 17TH, 2026

Below, you will find information on the 2026-27 school year registration.

Parents will use their Finalsite Enrollment Portal to complete registration.

Step One: Complete financial agreement, pick your payment plan, and pay registration fee

Step Two: Register by completing the online Freshman Registration Form

To complete the registration form, please follow these directions:

Check your student’s name, your name, address, phone number, and email address for accuracy. If there is an error, please email changes to [email protected].
Below the personal data, you see the courses that our Department Heads have recommended for your student, based on placement test scores. Please make your course selections from the available options.

Please note the following:

Your student will have seven classes each semester. Some are only one-semester classes (Geography, Composition & Speech, Health, and PE), while others are year-long classes (Theology, English, Math, Science, and World Language)
Math, English, and Science have three different levels in the ninth grade.
Theology, Composition & Speech, Geography, Physical Education, and Health are core freshman classes.

When asked to provide multiple choices, do not select the same course more than once.

Regarding World Language:

Spanish and Italian are the only languages with honors offerings; Spanish is the only language with an AP offering; Honors and AP classes are weighted classes in grades 10, 11, and 12.
While ASL fulfills the language admission requirement for UC, CSU, and most private colleges, it may not be accepted at some highly selective private colleges and universities.
One year of language is required for graduation.

Your registration will be complete once we have received your registration fee and you have completed the Freshman Registration Form in Finalsite Enrollment. Your student will then be eligible for class placement in the 2026-2027 school year.

FAQs regarding Registration for the Class of 2030

1. My student plans to play a sport at Saint Mary's, or she/he is involved in dance, karate, gymnastics, etc. Does she/he have to take PE?

Physical Education and Health are core semester classes in the freshman schedule. Four semesters of PE are required for graduation, and most freshmen take one semester of PE and one semester of Health, even if they are involved in a sport, whether on or off-campus. However, for those 9th-grade students who take a Fine Art (Band, Choir, Guitar, Drama), Athletic PE credit is available. The Fine Arts class is scheduled instead of PE/Health, and the student must apply for Athletic PE (60 hours of participation/semester is required) by the established deadline in September. If your student wants to take a Fine Art class instead of PE/Health, please cross off PE/Health on the registration form and write in the desired Fine Art class. 2. I think my student should be in a higher level of English, Math, Science, or Spanish. How can they be re-evaluated for a different placement?

For those students interested in challenging their English, science, OR math placement or who would like to take Spanish 2 as a freshman, we are offering additional testing during early April.

Science placement is determined by English and/or Math placement, so if a student challenges English and/or Math successfully, the Science placement will automatically be changed accordingly. Sign up through the Finalsite Enrollment Parent Portal here.

Challenge tests are created by Saint Mary's Academic Department members and are content-specific. If your student wishes to challenge their placement, please complete your Finalsite checklist item entitled "Challenge Test Request" where will be able to view the available challenge tests, request your student's registration for those tests, and provide your contact information. Once your request has been received, our registrar will reach out to you to confirm which challenge test you've been approved for.

If you have a specific question about placement or curriculum, you should email the appropriate department chairperson:

At this time, we request that you complete the Freshman Registration Form as soon as possible. If, after challenge testing takes place, your student is placed into a different level of Math, Science, or English the appropriate department chair will contact you directly to let you know. Then, Saint Mary's will make the proper class changes on our end when we schedule your student.

3. When is Saint Mary's holding Cheer/Dance clinics and tryouts?

Drill Clinics - Monday, March 30 & Tuesday, March 31 - 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Drill Tryouts - Wednesday, April 1 - 2:00 - 5:00 PM

Cheer Clinics - Monday, April 13 & Tuesday, April 14 | 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Cheer Tryouts - Wednesday, April 15 - 5:00 PM

Please remember your student must be accepted to Saint Mary's BEFORE the time of tryouts.

4. What summer school courses are available to incoming freshmen?

Incoming freshmen can take the English and Math Readiness Courses, Health or PE. Check our website for more information about summer school registration in May. You can also email [email protected].
