All incoming freshmen must read the following book over the summer for English 9. 

An assessment of this material will amount to 5% of the 1st Quarter Grade.


English 9 CP Lit and English 9 Comp: The Pearl by John Steinbeck

English 9 Honors: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury


All rising sophomores, juniors and seniors must read two books over the summer.  The first is a required book by grade level. An assessment of this material will amount to 5% of the 1st Quarter Grade.
