Another 150 Years Starts With You
To the Saint Mary's Community,
As we celebrate the extraordinary milestone of 150 years of Saint Mary’s High School, we are
not simply honoring our past and celebrating the present—we are also being called to secure our
future.
For generations, Saint Mary’s has stood as a beacon of faith, education, and opportunity in the
San Joaquin Valley. That legacy exists because of the unwavering generosity of alumni, families,
and friends who believe this private Catholic education mission is worth sustaining.
Today, that responsibility belongs to all of us.
Across the country, Catholic schools are closing their doors at an alarming rate. While Saint
Mary’s remains strong, we are not immune to the growing pressures of private Catholic
education--rising operational costs, aging facilities, and an increasingly competitive landscape
for attracting and retaining exceptional educators. At the same time, we remain deeply
committed to keeping a Saint Mary’s education accessible and affordable to all families who seek it.
That balance is only possible through you.
As we look ahead to the next 150 years, we are launching a bold and necessary effort to build an
enduring endowment—one that will ensure Saint Mary’s continues to form young men and
women in faith, knowledge, and character for generations to come.
This effort begins now.
As we prepare for our 150 the celebration, Breaking Bread on the 50 Yard Line, we invite every
member of our community to take part in this milestone in a way that is meaningful to them.
- For those in a position to lead, we ask you to consider sponsoring this event and helping
lay the financial foundation for our future. - For every member of our Saint Mary’s family, we invite you to make a gift of $150 in
honor of our 150th year—a powerful, collective act of commitment that, together, will
make a lasting impact.
No gift is too small. No act of generosity is insignificant. What matters is participation—standing
together as one community to ensure that Saint Mary’s continues to thrive.
This is more than a celebration. It is a defining moment.
So please, join us. Give what you can. Be part of what comes next.
Another 150 years of faith, excellence, and tradition begins today—because of you.
Respectfully in the Lord,
Jim Brusa
