COMPUTER GRAPHICS

This course provides an introduction to digital graphic design and visual communication for beginning students. Using industry-standard concepts and tools within GIMP, students will learn image editing, photo manipulation, digital painting, graphic design principles, and visual storytelling. Through hands-on projects, students will develop creative and technical skills while exploring color theory, composition, typography, and digital media production.

 

Computer Graphics prepares students for college-level coursework and careers in graphic design, marketing, digital media, animation, photography, web design, and other creative fields. Students will build a portfolio of original work while gaining valuable experience with the design processes and software commonly used in higher education and professional environments. No textbook is required.


VIDEO PRODUCTION

This course introduces students to the world of video production and digital multimedia. Through hands-on projects, students will learn the complete creative process, including story development, scripting, storyboarding, camera operation, shot composition, lighting, audio recording, and video editing. Students will also incorporate graphics, photography, music, and other multimedia elements to create engaging digital content and short films.

 

Designed for aspiring storytellers, content creators, and media professionals, this course develops both creative and technical skills that prepare students for college-level studies in film, broadcasting, journalism, communications, digital media, marketing, and related fields. Students will gain experience with industry-standard production workflows while building a portfolio that showcases their storytelling and multimedia production abilities. No textbook is required.
