Saint Mary’s High School Foundation’s purpose is to support Saint Mary’s High School through soliciting restricted endowment and specific gifts, and responsibly managing those assets to sustain the long-term goals of the high school.
The Vision of Saint Mary’s High School Foundation
The central purpose of the Saint Mary’s High School Foundation is to help ensure a long-term, sustainable future for Saint Mary’s High School so that we can continue to teach as Jesus did, build community, and serve others for generations to come. To accomplish these goals, and with your much needed and appreciated assistance, we will build our endowment over the course of our journey from our 144th Anniversary in 2019 to our 150th Anniversary in 2026. Building a sustainable future for Saint Mary’s High School is the core of the Foundation Board’s work.

What is endowment?
Endowments are essential because they provide a steady guaranteed income stream. You’re not having to go out and ask year after year. You do not touch the principal; instead, you use the income it generates to support the school. That means your donation keeps working year after year. The beauty of an endowment is that it is everlasting and more impactful than a one time gift because it’s a gift that’s going to last.
How do we know how our money is used?
That’s where a gift agreement comes in. When you create an endowment, you can spell out exactly how you want your funds used.
What about privacy? Can donations remain confidential?
No problem. If donors prefer to stay anonymous, that can be arranged without any issue. We
have donors who want to give but do not want the recognition.
