HOW DOES THE LIBRARY CHOOSE WHAT BOOKS TO PURCHASE?
The librarian looks at the Library Bill of Rights, standards for school children K-12 listed in the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the State of California's Education Department. She meets with your teachers for their suggestions, asks you for your suggestions, and checks sources such as Common Sense Media, Award Winners and Best Seller Lists. She also scours book reviews to ensure that you have the best quality reading experience possible.
